In the heat of the Democratic primary and well-into a presidential election year, an essential question in the wake of COVID-19 is how this novel virus will impact and change American politics. On this LAWACTH Livestream, USC politics professor and LAWACTH Board Member, Dan Schnur will analyze key questions about the relationship between COVID-19 and U.S. politics: How will we hold elections? How will candidates campaign differently? How are candidates reacting to the current crisis?

Dan Schnur is a Professor at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communications, the University of California – Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies and Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy, where he teaches courses in politics, communications and leadership. Dan was the director of the Sacramento Bee’s “California Influencers” series in 2018 and 2019, in which he led a weekly online conversation among 100 of the state’s most respected experts in politics, government and public policy. He is also a board member of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council & Town Hall.
