What We Do...

Click for larger imageThe LAWAC YP program occupies a unique niche in LA’s young professional scene, bringing together a very diverse group of young people with a shared passion for the world around us. The Young Professionals host a wide range of social and networking events, discussions and volunteer opportunities – all with an international flavor. This attracts a unique crowd with a wide range of backgrounds and opinions.

The Young Professionals Program is led by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of 18 enthusiastic young professionals interested not only in world affairs but also in creating events and partnerships which educate and empower people to make a positive contribution to society.

YP Quick-FAQ

Annual membership dues are $30 for students and $55 for members under 40 years of age. With this annual membership, you will be given access and special discounts to Young Professional events, social gatherings and general LAWAC events. You’ll also learn how to become more involved in your community and causes that matter to you.

There is no specific minimum age limit for participation in the YP Program. The program is designed primarily for Young Professionals under the age of 40.

There is no specific, pre-defined or designated frequency for scheduling our “exclusive” Young Professionals programs, gatherings and special events. As a general rule, we endeavor to offer at least one such private event to YP members each month.

Of course! We strongly encourage our YP members to attend general LAWAC programs and events as often as possible.

The YP Program offers a variety of volunteer opportunities related to speaker programs throughout the year. The LAWAC also looks to YP members as volunteers to assist at general LAWAC programs.
