US Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland will speak about the US-EU relationship at a Roundtable Lunch on January 11th. He will address the future of our trade relationship with the EU, which accounts for one-third of global GDP and which has been strained under President Trump’s harsh criticisms and threats of tariffs. Sondland will also speak about opportunities for the transatlantic relationship to be a force that curtails Chinese economic aggression and unfair trade practices. He will discuss Brexit, scheduled to go into effect in March 2019, Prime Minister Theresa May’s proposed agreement, and how the US-UK trade relationship will be affected.
